We are proud to share the incredible response from our community members and customers who recently united to support vulnerable women and girls in need. Your generosity has made a significant impact, demonstrating the strength and compassion of our community.

This initiative was driven by a small but dedicated group called Trudi’s Angels, made up of approximately 28 local women and men who united with one goal – to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. Connected to Cardinia Leisure through long-term member Anne McCormick, Trudi’s Angels set out to collect essential items for the charity ‘Share the Dignity’, which provides support to women and girls in crisis by offering personal care products during tough times. 

When Trudi’s Angels approached us for support, we were pleased to help by asking the community to come forward with donations. Thanks to the generosity of our members, customers and the wider community, the donations we have collected have gone towards packing 275 bags filled with essential items for women and girls in crisis.  

The contributions from the community are truly making a real difference. The items donated, although seemingly small, play a crucial role in bringing dignity and comfort to women and girls in their time of need. 

Cardinia Leisure and Trudi’s Angels extend our thanks to everyone who contributed to this important cause. The donations may have been everyday items to most of us, but for someone in difficult times they are a lifeline.  

As the festive season approaches, we’re gearing up for another donation drive. This time of year can be particularly challenging for those in crisis, and together we can continue to provide support to those in need.
