Aligned Leisure Attains Internationally Recognised Safety Certification

Aligned Leisure has attained the rare feat of being awarded international Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Certification for all its facilities.

The ISO 45001 international standard provides a framework to manage risk and opportunities to help prevent work-related accidents and illnesses while aligning workplaces worldwide with internationally acknowledged best practices.

Albury City, Cardinia Shire Council, Caulfield Grammar School, Mildura Rural City Council, Nillumbik Shire Council and Wodonga City Council aquatic and leisure facilities are all now certified to the international standard.

Aligned Leisure CEO Shane Dunne said the certification and its regular audits would provide confidence to our partners and community.

“We knew our safety culture was always strong. This certification provides the external verification and rigour for our key stakeholders, confirming that our safety practices operate to the highest level,” he added.

“I would like to congratulate all of our people, who have driven an excellent safety culture. We are pleased to have our processes formally mapped to the international framework, and we will continue to prioritise safety for our people and customers.”

For Cardinia Leisure facilities, this includes Cardinia Life, Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre, Officer Community Hub and the much loved Seasonal Pools across the Shire.

The health and safety of our staff and customers has always been the highest priority, this certification validates Aligned Leisure’s commitment to keeping the Cardinia community safe within our facilities.
