When it comes to physical activity, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. What matters is finding what works for you. Real stories can help spark new ideas and motivation. This week, we’re excited to share Melissa’s story as part of our campaign to inspire more movement.
Melissa shares that after the breakdown of her marriage and a long battle with anxiety and depression, culminating in her hitting a low point in her life, she decided to make some changes which led her to join Cardinia Life.
“It was extremely daunting at first but with the help of the friendly and helpful trainers I gained motivation and knowledge and I am still a regular attendee three years later”.
Starting a gym fitness regime helped Melissa gain confidence and feel better about herself both physically and mentally. She had a go at dance classes and karate and even joined a hiking group. She attended many of the Cardinia Life classes on offer, including Relentless, Pilates, boxing, body balance, aqua workouts, Zumba and more!
“I’ve made wonderful new friends throughout my fitness journey. I feel stronger, sleep better and have a more positive outlook on life.” Melissa.
