Cardinia Life came alive with energy and purpose on Monday, 13 October as the community gathered to celebrate headspace day – a national initiative supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young Australians aged 12–25.
Hosted by headspace, Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, the free event brought together young people, families, and friends to take positive steps toward better mental health. Attendees enjoyed:
- A headspace info session
- A free group fitness class
- Sausage sizzle and coffee vouchers
- Support service information
- And a special highlight – all basketball games across the centre’s 8 courts were played using bright green headspace-branded basketballs, turning every match into a fun and visible show of support for youth mental health!
headspace provides early intervention services for 12–25 year olds, supporting mental health, physical and sexual health, alcohol and drug issues, and work and study challenges. Helping thousands of young Australians every year.
