Wesley Forward is swimming with purpose at Cardinia Life this month!
This month Wes is participating in the Starlight Super Swim, by swimming 14km during the month of February to raise funds for the Starlight Foundation.
The Starlight Foundation work in partnership with health professionals to bring the fun, joy and laughter that is essential to sick kids’ health and wellbeing. Starlight knows that happiness matters to sick kids facing the pain, fear and stress of serious illness.
Wes says, ‘As a kid I was in and out of hospital with asthma, Starlight never ceased to put a smile on my face and keep me and my family going through those times. When I was in hospital I would always go to the starlight room and play video games for hours on end. Starlight would wander around the hospital and entertain me and other kids there as well.’
During February Wes is aiming to raise $1,000 all of which will go towards helping sick children around Australia.
