Aligned Leisure, in partnership with Outlook and Cardinia Shire Council are proud to host the 2023 White Ribbon Event. With both Cardinia Shire Council and Outlook being White Ribbon accredited workplaces and Aligned Leisure in strong support, this event aims to raise awareness around men’s violence towards women and the issues surrounding, as well as to raise funds to support our vulnerable community members.

The 2023 event will take place at Cardinia Life aquatic and recreation facility in Pakenham, and will see keynote speaker Kristy McKellar share her story and her breadth of work in this space. To read more about Kristy CLICK HERE

Following this, we will have a panel discussion with Radmila Dyson (Officer City Soccer Club), Michelle Harris (Gipps Sport & Cardinia’s Women and Girls Sport and Participation Network) and Josie Mirarchi (Melbourne City FC) focusing on the impactful work they are involved in driving around gender equity that flows into local sporting clubs and schools.

We will also hear from Victoria Police on the current impact of family violence within Cardinia, as well as Dr Chelsea Tobin – Current Outlook Board Member and Chief Executive Officer of Safe Steps and Cardinia Shire Council’s Chief executive officer – Carol Jeffs.

Each year we award the Gary McQuillan award and Tony Fitzgerald awards to a council officer and community member, respectively, for their efforts in preventing family violence or supporting those who experience it within the Cardinia Shire.

This year we will be raising funds for the Cardinia Foundation, who through a grants program put all the money into community led initiatives relating to Cardinia Shire Councils Liveability Plan, including organisations or community groups that offer support to vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our community.

To raise funds we have a number of items that form an online silent Auction, commencing Tuesday 20 June 2023 including;
