Josie has been a member since April 2008 and visits our Health Club three times a week. She commutes to the centre via a taxi that she books well in advance to ensure she never misses a workout! Josie loves interacting with all the staff and members at Cardinia Life, especially Paige and Sarah! Her favourite interaction is walking into the centre and hearing, “Good morning, Josie!”, as she appreciates the community feel.
Cardinia Life Trainer Leanne Davison designs a specific program that’s tailored to Josie’s needs and abilities. This keeps Josie accountable and attending the gym regularly. She juggles her wellness time with her six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren!
Josie believes that her greatest achievement is keeping up her fitness at 87 years old. She has said that people often don’t believe her when she tells them that she exercises three days a week. Josie loves keeping active, and especially enjoys walking. Her secret for staying motivated is making sure that she walks everywhere! “If it’s within walking distance, I’ll walk!” says Josie.
