Jack Howell is an 18 year old from Berwick who was born with a limb deficiency of his left hand. He will be representing Australia at the World Cup Para-triathlon in France on June 11, 2022. From this event Jack is hopeful to improve his world ranking and to have a shot at qualifying for the 2024 Paralympics in Paris.

Jack started his triathlon journey at Cardinia LIFE back in 2017 where a modified triathlon was held. Jack then immediately fell in love with the sport and has been determined ever since to compete at the highest level.

Jacks determination has recently been demonstrated winning gold at the 2022 National Para-triathlon Championships at Runaway Bay QLD. And placed 2nd at the 2022 Oceania Cup in Stockton NSW. He trains for his swim leg predominantly in open water, at the VIS and here at Cardinia LIFE.

As an emerging athlete Jack is hopeful to raise funds to help support his efforts, which will cover transport and accommodation but also a competition TT bike designed for his disability.
