To our valued Stadium Clubs, Teams, Players and Officials,
On Sunday 19 September, the Victorian State Government released their road map for easing current levels of restrictions across the state.
This included dates for proposed re-opening of our centres, as well as the date of return for Indoor Community Sport training and competitions.
This announcement confirmed for us the need to officially cancel the winter 2021 season for both junior and senior competitions.
Whilst it is disappointing that we will not get to undertake finals for the season, logistically it is not possible to continue.
We would like to thank all the players, team officials, referee’s and parents/spectators for their efforts and support over the course of the last season. We are aware that restrictions made things challenging at times, but want to thank you all for staying the course.
We now turn our focus to the upcoming 2021/22 summer season, with final details of the season being finalised to align with the dates outlined in the current road map.
There will be restrictions in place when competitions resume, on which we will continue to follow government, Basketball and Netball Victoria’s guidelines.
Once we have further information surrounding what these restrictions may look like, and the impact it could have on our competitions, we will communicate out to you all.
The upcoming season information will be sent to all teams over the coming days, with information on how to register. This information will also be available on our website.
Again we would like to thank everyone for their continued support, and hope to see everyone back on the court soon.
