Over the past few months we have been making changes to the food and drinks on offer at Cardinia Life.
What we choose to eat is often influenced by what is easily accessible. Studies show that most Australians would choose a “healthier” option if it was available. But what is the best choice?
Throughout the month of April, we will be labelling our food and drinks with the ‘traffic light’ system.
Green items are the best choice options, with low salt, fat and sugar. Amber items are to be consumed in lower quantities, whilst Red items are to be seen as “sometimes” options and should be limited in their consumption as they are higher in salt, sugar and saturated fats.
Table A shows the progress we have made at Cardinia Life from December through to the end of March.
With such strong results at Cardinia Life, we will be rolling out our Healthier Choices options to all Cardinia Leisure facilities over the coming months.
