On Sunday April 8th Aligned Leisure, operators of Cardinia Shire’s major aquatic and recreation facilities, have partnered with the Pakenham Racing Club to raise money for the Casey Cardinia Foundation at the inaugural Cardinia Shire Community Fun Run.

Over 100 people attended the inaugural event, with participants running around a 5km and 10km track on the inside of the Pakenham Racing Course. The Fun Run addressed specific objectives from the Cardinia Shire’s Liveability Plan and attracted all ages and abilities.

“We are thrilled to connect the community though physical activity, whilst further supporting the Casey Cardinia Foundation” said Cardinia Leisure Manager, Simon Bryson.

“We would like to thank the Pakenham Racing Club for their support of the event and look forward to returning to the venue next year bigger and better”

The Casey Cardinia Foundation Ltd is a philanthropic Community Foundation, raising funds for local community groups throughout the City of Casey and Cardinia Shire, with funds dispersed through an annual grants program. The Foundation aims to support the social, community and physical development of the community.

Aligned Leisure is a fully owned subsidiary of the Richmond Football Club and currently operates Cardinia Life, Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre, Officer Community Hub, IYU synthetic sports pitch and the Shire of Cardinia’s four seasonal outdoor pools.
