With the anticipated easing of restrictions by the Victorian Government to be announced this Sunday (22 November), we are excited to share that we plan to open our stadium doors for both Junior and Senior competitions from Tuesday 24 November 2020.
These plans are subject to confirmation of the easing of restrictions by the Victoria Government as well as approval from State Sporting Bodies, however we are anticipating that due to restrictions regarding capacity limits we will be required to operate differently to normal.
Due to these restricted operations, utilisation of courts at Cardinia LIFE as well as Officer Community Hub may be required, so please ensure that all teams are checking the locations for their games.
To support a safe return for our valued stadium users, we have been working closely with relevant sporting bodies and industry experts to ensure our reopening aligns with the Return to Sport Guidelines, and will be introducing a number of temporary changes, such as reduced game times, mandatory gaps between games, systematic cleaning procedures, restricted spectator access and separate entry/exit areas.
In consultation with the Pakenham Netball Association and Pakenham and District Basketball Association, our competitions are planned to resume as follows:
Junior Basketball Competition Resumes: As of Saturday November 28**
Junior Netball Competition Resumes: As of Tuesday November 24**
Due to the expected restrictions that will be enforced as of the 23rd of November, junior competitions will be provided with the opportunity to play in a 4-week round robin style competition with the focus on participation. This will allow for us to make changes to scheduling as potential further restrictions ease.
Registration fees for the junior round robin competitions will be $0, however all players are required to have either Basketball Victoria Membership or Netball Victoria membership for insurance purposes.
Round Robin Team Registration =$0 per team
Team Sheets =$70 per team
*Please note currently it is anticipated that only 1 parent for the purpose of supervision will be permitted for junior indoor sports. This means unfortunately that siblings will not be able to attend games at the early part of this season. This may change with further easing of restrictions, and will communicated out when information is available.
Regular Junior Domestic competitions will then return at the start of 2020, with further information for these seasons to be made shortly.
Senior Basketball Competitions Resumes: As of Wednesday November 25**
Senior Netball Competition Resumes: As of Tuesday November 24**
Senior Competitions will commence their Summer 20/21 seasons from these dates.
Subject to capacity limits; games in the early part of the season may be scheduled at either Cardinia LIFE or the Officer Community Hub to provide another opportunity to play games subject to government restrictions. Please note Round 1 may be required to be played over 2 weeks, subject to demand.
Senior Team Registration $80
Team Sheet = $78
All players are required to have either Basketball Victoria Membership or Netball Victoria membership for insurance purposes.
*It is anticipated senior indoor sport will be required to played with no spectators. This will mean that only players and officials (i.e. scorer) will be able to enter the stadium during senior competition times. This is subject to change and further information with any future changes will be communicated when available.
Registrations are now open, with teams encouraged to register as early as they can so that we can fixture them in for the start of the competition where possible.

Clubs will be able to utilise their club portals to register teams for upcoming seasons.
** Please note, our season start dates are subject to change however are likely to proceed based on the above information. We are continuing to work closely with the relevant associations and partners to finalise these plans, with further information to be provided once approved.
Further specific information regarding each sports return will be provided separately to teams of their associated sport.
We hope that these options will permit participants to get back on the court, and we hope to see everyone back in some capacity over the coming weeks.
