Cardinia Life’s Swim School aligns to National Swimming and Water Safety Framework

Swim School is back at Cardinia Life from Monday January 18 2021 with some very exciting changes!

Swim and Survive is a comprehensive swimming and water safety initiative of Royal Life Saving that seeks to increase the swimming and water safety skills of all Australian children in order to prevent drowning and increase participation in safe aquatic activity.

Tried and tested, Swim and Survive was first developed over 30 years ago, over 20 million Australians having enjoyed the program.

The comprehensive and balanced curriculum has recently been reviewed and seen significant changes implemented to further enhance the student experience. The program will guide learning through progressive steps, providing an opportunity to grasp the fundamental skills through to advancing to more challenging skills increasing in endurance and complexity.

As of Term 1 2021, Cardinia Life’s Swim and Survive program will be implementing the new curriculum that is the first to fully align with the National Swimming and Water Safety Framework. Additionally you will notice the new level names.
